| 20:00 | The opening ceremony of Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Day, in the presence of the President, the Prime Minister, the Speaker of the Knesset, and the President of the Supreme Court, and with the participation of 2500 Holocaust survivors, public figures and youth, Warsaw Ghetto Square. The ceremony will be broadcast live on television and the radio. Admission to the opening ceremony is by invitation only. |

From 10:30: The Visual Center at Yad Vashem, where testimonies and Holocaust-related films can be researched and viewed at personal computer stations, will be open to the public

Throughout the day, the school will be running educational activities for groups from Israel and abroad, including meetings with survivors, tours, plays, creative workshops, and theater and musical performances.

Additional information
On Remembrance Day Eve, Sunday, 7 April 2013, Yad Vashem will be open to the public until 12:00 only.
At 17:30, invitees to the opening ceremony will be admitted to the site.
On Remembrance Day, Monday, 8 April 2013, Yad Vashem will be open to the public from 8:00 until 20:00.
The Children’s Memorial will open at 10:30
Private vehicles will not be admitted to Yad Vashem on Remembrance Day Eve or on Remembrance Day itself.
Parking facilities are available on Mt. Herzl.
Transportation from Mt. Herzl to Yad Vashem and back will be available to the public for all Remembrance Day events.
