Through Our Eyes contains a unique collection of excerpts from Jewish children’s diaries and Holocaust survivor testimonies. This book provides a chronological overview and highlights the perceptions of children from the early 1930s through 1945 and its aftermath. Through poetry, diaries and testimonies, Through Our Eyes reveals the innermost thoughts and feelings of children and teenagers, confronted by death and destruction. The book gives an insight into the world of the children who lived during the wartime period who were approximately the same age as the readers themselves.

Resistance
This educational unit deals with the many facets of Jewish resistance during the Holocaust. It offers an examination of the uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto, the survival and fighting of Jewish partisans in the forests, the different revolts in the extermination camps, and aspects of spiritual resistance. These different approaches to resistance reflect the variety of Jewish responses to the Nazi murderous actions and plans. The book also contains different kinds of historical sources as well as pedagogical suggestions for educators.
